WHERE IS THE FAIR LOCATED?
At the Arcata Community Center. HERE is a map to the Fair location.
WHAT ARE THE FAIR HOURS?
Saturday 10-5 and Sunday 10-4.
WHAT DOES ADMISSION TO THE FAIR COST?
The Fair is free – donations are gratefully accepted.
ARE THE DEMONSTRATIONS FREE?
Watching is free, some might have a minor fee for supplies used.
IS THERE A SCHEDULE OF DEMONSTRATIONS?
The schedule will be arranged 2 weeks before the fair. You can find it HERE.
CAN I BRING MY DOG?
Please leave your pets home
WHERE IS PARKING?
At the Arcata Community Center parking lot and nearby street.
IS THE FAIR WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE?
Yes.
DO THE VENDORS ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS?
Some of the vendors accept credit cards, PayPal, Venmo or Apple Pay.
IS THERE A LOST AND FOUND?

WHAT DO THE WORKSHOPS COST?
Prices vary based on workshop length and materials fees. You can browse workshops HERE.
WHERE DO I SIGN UP FOR WORKSHOPS?
Sign up HERE or by contacting us and mailing the payment.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I SIGNED UP FOR A WORKSHOP AND CAN'T MAKE IT?
Refunds are available for up to two weeks before the fair. Contact us as soon as you know you might have an issue.
IS THERE A WAITLIST FOR WORKSHOPS THAT ARE SOLD OUT?
Yes, send us an email to join the waitlist.
THE WEB SITE ISN'T WORKING - I CAN'T SIGN UP - WHAT DO I DO?
Email us and we’ll save a spot in the workshop and help solve the issue.
WILL YOU SHIP MY WORKSHOP MATERIALS? OR DO I GET THEM AT THE FAIR?
Workshop materials, as described in the workshop details, will be supplied at the fair. Workshops might have a “please bring section” with items to bring from home. Be sure to watch your email carefully for complete information after you sign up for a workshop.
HOW CAN I PARTICIPATE IN THE FIBER CIRCLE?
Bring your portable project and join the space. Watching & visiting is good too.
HOW CAN I ENTER A SPINNING CONTEST?
Bring your spinning wheel on Sunday and we’ll provide the fiber for the speed and fine spinning contests that start at noon in the Fiber Circle.
WHAT ARE THE RULES FOR THE SPINNING CONTESTS?

HOW CAN I SUBMIT SOMETHING FOR THE FIBER CIRCLE DISPLAY?
About two weeks before the start of the Fiber Fair, the Humboldt Handweavers and Spinners Guild newsletter will have instructions for submitting items for display in the Fiber Circle. Check out the newsletter at: hhsguild.org/newsletter
IS NATURAL FIBER FAIR A NON-PROFIT? CAN I DEDUCT MY DONATION?
Yes, we’re a non-profit run by volunteers. Tax ID # 36-4804016 501(c)
