THERE'S A PARTY IN MY PLANTS

Liz McAllister

I am a self-taught fiber artist and botanist, interested in the intersection of utility and art. I grow plants and make knits, weavings, coiled baskets, and collage art pieces in my Eureka home studio. My materials are collected from thrift stores and rummage sales, the beach, and salvaged from trash bins. I aim to reduce waste and create "fun-ctional" pieces that bring people joy, spark curiosity, and convey feelings that words cannot. My work bringing cool plants into peoples' lives carries an important message, too: slow down, hydrate, enjoy the weather (whatever it is).

TRILLIUM MOON BOTANICALS

Jami Johnson

I spin wool, naturally dye wool and also I naturally dye silk products. I am a midwife who enjoys spinning, natural dyeing and  making botanical medicine. I love working with wool and silk. I create beautiful colors with flowers and herbs. I am currently working on a dye garden to produce a rainbow of colors for my creations.
