Spinning Contests

The Spinning Contest is at 12pm on Sunday in the Fiber Circle.

Spinners, bring your wheels or spindles to participate in the  contest. 

Everyone is invited to participate or simply watch the fun!

The spinning contests start at noon on Sunday in the Fiber Circle. There are two contests: the speed contest and the fine spinning contest with competition groups of:
New Spinner (0-5 years)  
Advanced (6-25 years) 
Experts (26 years +)
 
Cash Prizes will be provided:  1st  $20    and 2nd $10
 
Fiber for all contests is provided by the Humboldt Handweavers and Spinners Guild. Spinners bring your wheels or spindles to participate.
 
The Speed Contest lasts for 10 minutes during which contestants spin as much yardage as possible

In the Fine Spinning Contest, each spinner is given a specific amount of fiber, and the contest ends when their fiber is spun.
