Description: 

The class will cover where to find dye lichens, how to properly collect them, mordants, dye materials, and some of the tricks to get colors. There will be 4 dye pots going using local lichens.

What materials or advanced preparation do students need for your class?

Wear old clothes, read up on natural dyes and bring plastic bags to put wet items in

Materials provided: Yarn and silk samples , a skein of yarn and handouts
